My Review :

1. Intro.

2. Hip Hop Era :

This is an up-tempo-black-fist-punch-on-yo-face-opener. The beat rocks stones out of kidney. Tongue-flippin', rhyme-spittin' delivery by each Rappers single-handely placed me in an instant shockness.

I still have to give it to the carnatic break, it was simply amazing, the way it correlates with Yogi B's " Kavithai Ghunder " phrase. Production wise I really can't complain cause I'm a RM10.00 mic emcee myself who care less about production ( althought I do now ) but I can tell the clarity was there and it's audible. This track really warmed the cd player.

3. Madai Thiranthu feat Guna Lock-Up :

Love the opening ( plus the video ). Guna, I don't need to introduce him, basically he needs no introduction. The bass on this track was so loud it broke the Watts out of my speakers ( thinking of suing them for the damage their music has caused to my Radio ).

The basis of this track is spacey, smooth, and bassy beats and laced with a beautiful chorus by Guna. Good work on the track.

4. Siva Siva featurin' Prema :


This is a definite masterpiece. It is soulful and the contents of the song are very intelligently written by each artists. I learned few things from this song. Very unconventional ( devotional ? Maybe not the proper term ) track. I take my hats off for Prema, professionally done.

I feel like this track was an offering to the God. Love this track. Very transitional in point.

6. Vali Theduthe :

This is a something very unexpected especially an explicit track on a mainstream album. Well, personal issues aside, the contents were mediocre. I may agree that this is a very straight foward and a bold track but on the flip side it was the fillers and skits which made the high-light of the track. The verses was like I say not up to par.

The beat was grimey, I agree, love the beat. But hey, they had to put down a heavy load off their chest, so why not use music as their channel to deliver it. The mode suits them cause it's their profession.

7. Indian Girls :


One of my favourite on this album, no less. Yogi's flow was so good on this track that I found myself Rappin' at the same time. His lyrics was very brilliantly written', I like the part where he define each type of girls, that was pretty amazing.

Burn and Jesz were equally amazing. Love the chorus , found myself stalking few girls with those lines, LOL.

Love the beat, love the chorus and the content. Air-tight flows and beats that make your head bob and your speakers purrr with bowel-obstructing basslines.

9. Kamasutra feat' Mogethen :


This is a sexy track. An open invitation to.....erhm.. Very soothing and laced with beautiful loops. This track brought up fresh ideas that resemble a defnite change in conventional love songs.

The scratches were wicked ( by Dj Fuzz ), love the sample.

Yogi B was abang smooth in this piece.

Jesz : " Vantha vadi, varathi podi, nesthum yile yeneke " Love this part.

Burn : Very versatile, love his flow. " Katel kavithai padikewa ? " Very nice.

Moge was good nonetheless.

10. Mov' Dat :

This is bangin' track !!! This is unquestionably one of the bangin' Rap track I have ever heard with collaboration by Urimi and uddukai.

The bridge was freakin' dope !!!

11. Hip Hop Avirom : ( Skit).


This is like one of the best skit I ever heard in my whole life ( besides Dr.Dre 20 sack pyramid ).

I laughed my tears out my eyes, phelgm and sinus turned rock solid !

12. Vallavan :


This is basically Vallavan version 2006.

The intro re-introduces the history of the track.

The carnatic simply stole the show on this track. Bhavani and Prem. Hats off for them.

Yogi's delivery was super-charged and slight edited on this version. It is pure, raw, unadulterated Tamil Hip-Hop track. The beat has been uplifted compare to the original version and that just adds the extra bumpin' flava to te track.

I'm definitely diggin' Jesz's rapid delivery and Burn's relentless word-plays. It's fuckin' savadi !!!!!!!

The lyrics, beats, and overall vibe of each artists transcends this track as a whole.

Carnatic - GOOD JOB !

Definitely one of my favourite track and it's going to be for a long time coming.

I don't wish to compare this version to the original version, because both carries different personalities

13: Kadhal Yengge :

Beautiful track with solid production.

Love the production. NO DOUBT ! This is a classic track.

Violin was SUPERB !!!!!!!!!!!!

Burn : " Waiyoo...yakayaka yoo " This dude is very flexible...versatile to the max.

Love the chorus and the content, very unconstrained and the lyrics sounds like a work of genius.

14. Ellamey Kaasu :

This is basically a re-make of Monay Monay in Tamil. Not really feeling this track.

But it's alright.

" As the bling-bling on my 916 swing.... "

15. Vaa Vaa :

This is a masala song. LOL.

The beat switches few times but the track really provokes the Rappers ability and proves their credibilities.

They served the track well.

The album, overall caters everyone and everything. It has dedication to God, dedication to our Indian Girls, personal issues being adressed, re-makes, re-mix, re-vamp and etc.

Vallavan is a brilliant record. It possesses an uncanny blend of sonic beauty, poignant lyricism and spirituality that compels without commanding. The record offers a rich blend of potent beats tight snares, booming kicks and cool rimshots and a diverse tapestry of various musical textures. It never failed to pay homage to our traditional song and music.

This music messes with your head. Its ambition and vision easily rank it among Tamil Hip-Hop's greatest in some time.

To all the haters out there, may your cheers turn to dismay.

What's with these RnB singers ?

If you have pay a close attention to these RnB singers / Artist you will realize that, they're just a bunch of sobbing bastards.

They usually have this marketing scheme.

They will return with a brand new album after few years of personal rejuvenation, spending fans money and utterly ignore them by throwing up private parties for which only artists can attend to.

Their new album will definitely have their first single which will be a high tempo, clubbish taste to it with a repulsive video. ( Usher )

The next follow up will be....yea...yea like we don't know...it will be a fucking sobbing love track.

It's like the same routine, it will be a video where, they will break up with their girl-friends or boy-friends cause of lack of fidelity.

For instance, Mary J Blige, no offence, but what's with the heart-broken love song year in , year out ?

If you look at her discography, she'd probably had like 9 to 10 guys cheated on her and she will be fucking crying on each video with an impulsive fake impression which she will be throwing out on each of her video.

Other example is Mariah Carey, R.Kelly, Jagged Edge, Beyonce ( Fucking irritating chubby, fat tighs, high maintenance bitch ! ) now Rihana to name a few.
